Our sole purpose to exist is to pool our experience as Channel Operators (chanops) on undernet.org and other networks, to help people establish a channel on undernet.org
"Establishing" can include re-establishing a channel that has fallen into disrepute because of lawlesness. Good channel guests will often move on elsewhere if others are seen to "get away" with bad, offensive, or objectionable behaviour.
Undernet is different from most IRC networks, because they do things differently, to discourage mindless idiots hell-bent on destroying this community resource which is provided without any charge to whosoever wishes to use it.
We understand the processes you have to go through to set up and run a chat room, and we can steer you through them "with a minimum of fuss".
We insist on the good mannered approach taught by the undernet #Class sessions on "netiquette", and that ops act decisively, fairly, and promptly, and are supported by channel management as they do so. It is also necessary for channel management to maintain ongoing proper behavior by guests and ops.
